A1

LEVEL A1 - CONTACT

(Module 1 - Module 2)

You will be able to understand and use everyday expressions and basic phrases to meet concrete needs. You will learn to introduce yourself and others, to ask simple questions, and to respond to personal particulars such as where you live, the people you know, and the things you own. You will be able to interact in a simple way, as long as the other person speaks slowly and clearly and is willing to cooperate.

A2

LEVEL A2 - SURVIVAL

(Module 3 - Module 4)

You will understand frequently used phrases and expressions related to areas of immediate relevance (e.g., basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). You will learn to communicate with greater confidence in daily and routine activities that require a simple exchange of information on familiar and common topics. You will be able to describe aspects of your background and environment in simple terms.

B1

LEVEL B1 - THRESHOLD

(Module 5 - Module 6)

This is the autonomy level. You will understand the key points of familiar topics related to school, leisure time, etc. You will be able to move confidently in situations that may occur while traveling in Italy. You will be able to produce a simple text on familiar topics or personal interest. You will be able to describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes, and ambitions, and briefly explain the reasons for your opinions and plans.

At the end of Module 6, you will be able to prepare to pass your CILS or PLIDA B1 exam!

Special Courses

Preparation for B1 and B2 level CILS and PLIDA exams

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs currently recognizes only 4 certifications to obtain Italian citizenship through marriage: CILS, CELI, IT, and PLIDA. Cital prepares you to take the CILS, certification issued by the University for Foreigners of Siena, or the PLIDA, issued by the Dante Alighieri Society. These are exams that are complex at first sight, certainly long and tedious, but we will teach you all the tricks to face them calmly!

Individual conversations and themed conversation groups

Individual classes are available for students of all levels. For those who already have an intermediate or advanced level, Cital offers conversation courses on specific topics related to current affairs and general Italian culture, such as cinema, literature, music, politics, or art.
